I picked up Edition Two of Elementum magazine a couple of weeks ago. Immediately I loved the fearless use of whitespace but what I appreciated most is the various use of visual media throughout the publication.
Straight from the back cover, "Elementum is a journal of new writing and visual arts that explores our connection to the natural world.' Articles vary from memoirs, poetry translations, short stories and even a photo essay. All of them providing a deep insight into aspects of the world around us.
Visually the publication is a fantastic collection of photography, hand sketches, prints and watercolour. It is probably one of the most visually diverse publications I've ever had the joy of reading. I feel like I've stepped into an art exhibition. Such a beautiful collection of work.
